Founded in 1982, Pioneer Vault Company Inc. enjoys a reputation of service and excellence in Philadelphia, Bucks County and Montgomery County Pennsylvania. This was Herbert Hevener’s vision when he founded the company more than 30 years ago.
Herb’s first job was operating a backhoe opening graves for a city cemetery in the 1950’s which quickly earned him a good reputation with local cemeteries and funeral directors. After 30 years of working in the cemetery industry, Herb established his own concrete burial vault company at the urging of local funeral directors and cemetery workers.
Early on, Herb with his wife Norma by his side, quickly became known for making a high quality product. Soon after, Herb was joined by his sons John Hevener and Joseph Hevener. Joseph began to expand the business through effective marketing in addition to the experience gained from working alongside his father. By the time Herb retired in 2006 Pioneer Vault Company was well established.
